The man Werner who was shot in tho neck by Weston, and who has boon lighting light-ing doath over since at St. Murk's hospital, hos-pital, died yestorday afternoon about half past four o'clock. Werner had been in an almost unconscious condition sinco his removal to the hospital, nnd it was a foregone conclus'on that ho could nut survivo his injuries. The man must have possossed extraordinary vital powers to have held out so long, as his wound was a terrible one, and n post mortem will be quite interesting to surgical sur-gical scientists. An inquest was bo hold this morning, whioh resulted in a vordict similar to that rendered in tho othtr case, nnd Weston was at once released. Werner was buried this aflornooti. |
