Show HARRY'S GARAGE UPSETS SPERRY S 2215 Games proceeded as expected in last Saturday's play in the Westminster Junior Basketball League except for Harry's Garage surprise win over the leading Sper-ry Sper-ry quintet. Glen Dodge slipped in 18 points for the winners as well as turning in an exceptional floor game. Hills for the winners also played a good game. Saul and Rasmusson were the top men in the Sperry's attack. This loss throws three teams, Richards, Edgehill and Sperry's in a deadlock dead-lock for the top spot in the second sec-ond half of the senior division. Vikings Fall to Richards in Second Half The Vikings played their best game of the year but slipped in the second half in a 33-22 loss to the leading Richardsl team. King and Nichols were the outstanding out-standing for the Vikings while Northrup and Brown clicked for Richards. The Vikings carried a 11-10 advantage at the half. In practice tilts, Edgehill Seniors Sen-iors and Hawthorne defeated their opponents. Southeast Furniture gets Scare In the Junior tilt, Southeast settled set-tled down in the final quarter to defeat Sheffield's 17-11. Stepheson and Bird gain came through for the Southeast Furniture five while Johnson was the mainstay for Sheffield. Sheffields carried a 7-4 lead at half time. In other junior tilts Olsen Trucking defeated de-feated Chet and Wess by default, Paramount turned back Edgehill Juniors 34-18, and Granite Furniture Furn-iture captured a practice duel, 19-9. Final Games Scheduled for Saturday The last round of another Junior Jun-ior Tournament is scheduled for Saturday. Southeast Furniture, un-deafted un-deafted in the second half tangles with Granite Furniture, first half winner, in the feature game at 10:30 a. m. At 1:15 p. m. Speriy's faces Edgehill Seniors in the other oth-er crucial bout. Southeast Furniture Furni-ture is favored to trip Granite while Sperry's will probabiy trip the Edgehill five. Following Saturday's Sat-urday's games, final playoff games gam-es will be scheduled. |
