Show Evan Nelson Passes Away Evan L. Nelson died at the family residence early Sunday morning, following fol-lowing a serious illness from kidney complications. Mr. Nelson, son of the late A. G. and Annie Porter Nelson, was born in Mount Pleasant, January 5, 1891. He was educated in the schools of this city and engaged In farming and sheep raising. He was married to Lois Kay of Mona in 1917. Surviving are his widow and four small children, Leslie, Fern, Milton and Monte Nelson, all of this city, his mother, Mrs. A. G. Nelson, Mount Pleasant and the following brothers and sisters: Cannon, Obed, Edgar. George and Frank Nelson, Mount Pleasant; Hugh Nelson, Spring City; Mrs. Will Matson, San Francisco, California; Mrs. O. L. Winters, Miss Helen Nelson, Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services for Evan Nelson were held Thursday at 2 p. m. in the North ward chapel with Bishop Olson in charge. Prayers were offered by A. H. Anderson An-derson and J. Fred Staker. The choir sang "Jesus Is Calling;" duet, Lorain Bock and Mrs. eFrry Peterson; solo, Mrs. T. W. Jensen, "O My Father;" ?olo, Mrs. H. G. Ericksen, "Tired;" solo, so-lo, Miss Alice Peel with violin obligate, obliga-te, Lawrence Sardoni Jr., "One Fleet-Ins Fleet-Ins Hour." The speakers were President H. C. Jacobs, Bishop Neilson of Mona and Arthur O. Neilson. The grave was dedicated by Bishop A. L. Peterson. The pall bearers were Cannon, Obed, Edgar and Hugh Nelson, Charles Ja-cobsen Ja-cobsen and. Parley Syndergaard. |
