Show oka Mrs. Violet Gentry Mrs. Bertha Angus Evelyn Fausett is visiting this week with relatives and friends in Vernal. A well known bride of the midsummer season is LaRena Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nelson, of Upalco, and sister of Mrs. Dona Lemon, of Ioka, who was married July 6 in the Idaho Falls LDS temple to J. M. Ricks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ricks. Mrs. Lemon was present at the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Richard Buchanan, Bu-chanan, of Sandy, spent last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dart. Mrs. Tom Gentry and children chil-dren and Mrs. W. G. Gentry and daughter, Elizabeth, visited in Vernal, Tuesday. Mrs. Dick Fausett and children, chil-dren, of Upalco, and Mrs. James Larsen and family, of Arcadia, spent Friday with Mrs. Olive Sorensen. J. B. Lemon was called to Salt Lake last week by the critical illness of his daughter. Mrs, Virgil Mecham. According to a late report she is slightly improved. Elmer Lemon, Terry Morrill, Nadine Fausett and Roene Lem-Dn Lem-Dn attended 4-H classes last week at Logan. M,rs. Tom Gentry, Mrs. O. Av Dart, and Elizabeth Gentry attended at-tended Ladies Aid Meeting in Myton, Thursday, Peggy Zorko, of Ely, Nev., is spending the summer with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dwt. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Dennis and three children, of Provo, visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Good-Rich, Good-Rich, Beth and Loy Goodrich, of Tridell; and Mr. and Mrs. Ercel Johnson and family, of Ballard, Bal-lard, visited the Reed Lemon family, Sunday. Mrs. Hugh Percival was released re-leased from the Roosevelt hospital hos-pital Thursday, after a recent appendectomy. Maxine Winkler, of Bluebell, is helping out at the Percival home during her convalescence. Willis Lowry, Barth Stone, Tuff Reay, Otto Lloyd, Cloyd Morrill and James Lemon were in Salt Lake Friday to donate blood to Paul Lemon and Mar-ta Mar-ta Mecham. Garrett Stone, Ar-villa Ar-villa Lemon and Mary Lemon drove in with them. Ward conference was held here Sunday with W. Russel Todd and Dr. R. V. Larson, of the Stake Presidency, as principal prin-cipal speakers. Musical numbers were presented by Clarence Jones and Mrs. Saxon Batchler, accompanied by Gertrude Russell. Rus-sell. John K. Lemon, of Kamas, is visiting his son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lemon. Weekend visitors at the Milo Campbell home were his mother, moth-er, Mrs. Janetta Jones, brothers Marvin Campbell, of St. George, and J. Larvin Campbell, of Springville; and Marvin's son, Kale. Mrs. Janetta Jones remained re-mained for an extended visit, while the brothers returned to their homes Sunday. Pauline Winkler, of Bluebell, visited Sunday with Mrs. Hugh Percival. |
