Show T.lyton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Mrs. H. W. Davenport entertained enter-tained at a luncheon Friday afternoon af-ternoon complimentary to her house guests, Mrs. Nina Cheney and Mrs. Irene Moffat, of Los Angeles. A delicious luncheon was served to 11 guests. Bridge and canasta were enjoyed during dur-ing the afternoon, with prizes being won by Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. James Dalgleish, and Mrs. Wm. R. Harris. The Ladies Aid held its regular reg-ular session Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Homer Robinson, with Mrs. I. R. Tut-tle Tut-tle as co-hostess. The business meeting, in charge of President Edith Gentry, was followed by refreshments served to six members mem-bers and a guest, Miss Elizabeth Eliza-beth Gentry. A delicious Sunday night supper sup-per for seventeen was featured when Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb entertained their bridge club this week. Mrs. Nina Cheney and Mrs. Irene Moffatt attended as club guests. Bridge prizes during the evening went to Mrs. Cheney, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Dal-gleish, Lee Cooper and Rex Lamb. Visitors Wednesday at the Carlos Clark home were Mrs. George D. Wheeler, and Mr. and Mrs. George R. Wheeler, Jr., of Glendale, Calif., who stopped enroute to Meeker and Denver, Colo. Mrs. Wheeler is Mrs. Clark's aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis returned re-turned last Tuesday night from Springville, where they were called by the last illness of Mrs. Dennis' mother, Mrs. Clara E. P. Whiting, who died Saturday. Funeral services were conducted Monday with burial in Provo city burial park. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Orr visited vis-ited last week with Mrs. Orr's brother, Denzel Hemphill, and with Myton friends, while en-route en-route to their home in Riverton from a trip to Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zorko and son have returned to Ely, Nev., following a brief visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Uresk, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart. Their daughter, Peggy, remained to spend her vacation with her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. McCarroll recently enjoyed a visit from their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harmon McCarroll, McCar-roll, and their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nor-man Collom, who arrived from Craig to spend a few days here. Mr. and Ms. Joe Miller and son, John Probst, former Myton residents, visited here last week. Mrs. James Bywate.r and daughter, LaRee, Mrs. Lydia Peatross, and Mrs. Merrill Lis-onbee Lis-onbee and tiny daughter visited In Vernal on the 4th. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Cooper and small son, of Salt Lake, visited relatives here last week. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Reed, of Hanna, visited last week with Mrs. Reed's mother, Mrs. Geo. Tanner. Mr. and Mrs. Felix Quintana returned last week from a month's visit at the home of Mr. Quintana's brother in Long-view, Long-view, Wash. Visitors last week at the Jack Gingell home were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gingell and daughter, of Palisade, Colo. Gail Dennis returned Thursday Thurs-day to Salt Lake after a week's visit with his father, Syerl Dennis. Den-nis. . j Governor and Mrs. J. Brack-! en Lee, and their daughter and son visited briefly Thursdav with Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish. Dal-gleish. They were enroute home from a visit to New York City and intermediate points. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Smith and children of Hiawatha, former form-er Myton residents, arrived Thursday to spend a few days with Mrs. Smith's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Steve Hamilton. Ralph McPherson left Monday Mon-day for a three-day vacation at Bear Lake, as a guest of the Deseret News. Ralph received the trip as a bonus for his good newspaper distribution. Mrs. Lydia Peatross was called call-ed Wednesday to Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, by the serious illness of her brother, Roger Remington. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Quintana Quin-tana and family, of Orem, are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Quintana. Alvin Pectol arrived last week from Areata, Calif., to |
