Show BASIN BRIEFS E. P. Thomas returned re cently from Los Angeles where he had been called by the critical cri-tical illness of his son, Elias D. Thomas, who died May 12. Members of the Roosevelt Riding Association left Monday on a week's fishing trip. They plan to pack into the Grand-daddy Grand-daddy Lakes region. Among those making the trip were Ce cil Jenkins, Merlyn Reynolds, j and Dee and Jack Allred. County Agent Louis Jensen has been awarded the Horace A. Moses Foundation scholarship to attend Khe second session summer school at Colorado A. and M., Ft. Collins, Colo. Chosen for his outstanding work in the field of agriculture, Mr. Jensen's name was submitted submit-ted by the USAC Extension Service Ser-vice to the Federal Extension Service in Washington, D. C, for final approval. Mr. Jensen will represent Utah as one of 50 scholarship winners from the western United States, who will attend Colorado A. and M. from July 17-Aug. 4, Mr. and Mrs. Verlen Labrum and family returned Tuesday evening fiom a 2-week vacation trip to Driggs, Ida., where they were guests of Mrs. Labrum's mother. r Mr. and Mrs. Perc Watkins and family, of Tremonton, spent Saturday night and Sunday as guests of Mr. Watkins' twin sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Phillip E. Pack, and family. The Pack children returned re-turned to Tremonton with them for a 10-day visit.
