About three years ago the Utes were judged as entitled to damages on a dispute centering cen-tering around the -division of money received for their land when they were moved out of Colorado, but the court did not stipulate an exact sum. The payment was made on a basis of 60 for the three tribes of the Uintah and Ouray reservation, the Uintas, Uncompahgres, and White Rivers, and 40 for the Southern Utes and Ute Mountain Utes, of Colorado. Colo-rado. The Colorado Utes had originally wanted the judgment judg-ment divided on a 45-55 basis. |
