Show ftlt. Emmons Deane Case Mrs. Harold Jones and children chil-dren have returned to Malad, Ida., alter a two week's vaca tion spent with Mrs. Jones' parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy W. Rust. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Peterson Peter-son and baby, of Salt Lake City, spent the July 4 holidays with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Linden Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Ira B. Cannon, of Salt Lake, former Mt. Emmons Em-mons residents, spent Thursday here with friends. Mrs. 'Chester Hartman was able to be returned home last week, following an extended illness in the Holy Cross hospital, hos-pital, Salt Lake City. Tommy Hansen, of California, is a guest at the Grant Hansen home. Mrs. Leslie J. Orr and daughter, daugh-ter, Colleen, returned Sunday night from a week's stay in Salt Lake. They brought back news of the birth of a baby boy to Mr. and Mrs. Karl Allen, of Vernal. The child was born Friday Fri-day in a Salt Lake hospital. Mrs. Allen is the former Cleora Orr. Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Case, of Bountiful, are the parents of a baby boy. Grandparents of the new baby are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case, of Mt. Emmons. Dee Reay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fay Reay, employed in Salt Lake, is in fair condition at the Salt Lake General hospital, hos-pital, after suffering knife wounds Thursday night while waiting on a corner for a bus. Dee received multiple stab wounds about the chest, shoulders shoul-ders and arms. Police were making an investigation of the affair. Weekend guests at the Floyd Case home were Neal Torgen-sen, Torgen-sen, " Elmer CQllinga, and Sue Brown, of Monroe. . Mr, and Mrs. Evan Hansen left Saturday for a three-week trip into the northwest and Canada, Robert Carlile, of Woodland, is spending his vacation with his sister and brother-in-law, Michael Case, who has been visiting in Woodland, returned to Mt. Emmons with his uncle. Baptismal services were conducted con-ducted Saturday by Bishop Willard B. Mecham for the following fol-lowing children: Harlan and Kreen Hartman, children of M.r. and Mrs. Floid Hartman; Karen Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hansen; Kathryn Hartman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hartman; and Del-mar Del-mar and Lola May Cook, chil-den chil-den of Mrs. Leroy Babcock. Lawrence Ward and George Case performed the baptismal rites. Mrs. Mary C. Snyder moved to Pocatello Sunday, where she recently had a home built. Her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Ames, came from Idaho to get her and their small son, Brent, who has been here with his grandmother for the past month. Mrs. Mary A. Case, Mrs. Snyder's mother, went with them as far as Og-den, Og-den, where she stopped for a visit with her son, Joseph Case, and family. Correction: Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wall were listed last week as among those making a trip to Yellowstone National park, on which their son, Jay, and daughter, Norma, were involved in-volved in a car wreck. Mr. and Mrs. Wall were not in the party. The application for rural telephone tel-ephone service has been sent to the Rural Electrification Administration Ad-ministration in Washington, D. C, reports Louis Reese, manager man-ager of the Moon Lake Electric Elec-tric Association. Five hundred forty-one home owners have signed up for service and have paid their initial fee. Mrs. Neal Murray and baby son, of Myton, visited several days last week with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers, Rog-ers, while her husband was on a fishing trip. |
