Show Cutting Affray Last evening, shortly before dark, a hobo entered the Union saloon on Main Street and was, it is stated, seen to attempt to rob another man of a 10 bill. Paul Comisky, night-man at the Paeilic Fruit Express plant, but employed at odd hours in the above named saloon, ejected the man, following follow-ing him to the street with several well-deiivored punches. The man entered en-tered the second time and was again put out. When the sidewalk wai reached, the hobo drew a knife and made a lunge at Comisky, the point of the weapon catch. ug him in the mouth making a nasty wound. 11 ar shal Baxter aireetea the assailant ai d locked him up. Comisky had his face dressed by a phynician and is about the streets today. It is said that the SlO bill was afterward found in the pocket of the prisoner. The hobo lias been in Milford, off and on for a jear or more. He gave his name as Shreve. At the time of going to press, the prisoner had not had bis preliminary hearing. When seen at the jail by a NEWS man, lie said lie did not care what was pub lished and seemed cheerful about the outcome of the affair. |
