As the result of that fact, the United States of America has risen to a greatness which has changed the face of the world. In a little less than seven score of years It has changed us from a nation of people peo-ple scattered thinly along the coast of the Atlantic, At-lantic, to a nation of over a hundred millions of people stretching over the whole continent from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and even Into the lands beyond the seas.
