At 8:30 p. m. a program will commence at the Apollo hall with Hugh B. Brown of the state liquor commission, as the principal speaker. Musical numbers num-bers will be given by the high school male chorus. A huge birthday cake is being prepared pre-pared by Mr. Cheever at the local bakery, and will be auctioned off during the evening. The proceeds taken in on the cake will be added to the general fund. The City Council, Lion's club, Ladies La-dies clubs and church organizations have pledged their full support to aid in advertising and making the ball successful. Leo G. Meredith is in charge of ticket selling and is already making a thorough canvas of the business section of town. When contacted it is the desire of those in charge that the people remember the cause and aid as much as possible to make American Fork's the most popular dance in the state. |
