Show MILFORD LIONS HOSTS TO DISTRICT GOVERNOR he Milford Lions were hosts to District Governor Urie and his secretary, sec-retary, Lion Bill Dover, of Cedar City at their regular meeting Thursday evening in the Walker Caft. Governor Urie gave an inspirational inspira-tional address dealing with the various phases of Ljonism. touching touch-ing on the problems and stressing the services and benefits to the communities fortunate enough to be served by Lions clubs. The organization or-ganization is growing at the rate of a club a day, Governor Urie declared. Lion Evans reported on development develop-ment at the Milford airport, pointing point-ing out that $30,000 of state and federal money is being spent in improvement of the port. Lion J. C. Smith gave a detailed report on late progress of the Lion-inaugurated Main Street dress up program. The district governor a.lso complimented the Milford club on this service to the community. Lion E. L. Smith stated that plans for the June race meet are shaping up satisfactorily, with committees already in action on advance work to assure the success of the meet Hal Fisher, Milford photographer, photograph-er, and John Vloyantes, Milford High School instructor, were wel-romed wel-romed as new members. |
