Show SURVEY AT Tnm AIRPORT "SIN PROGRESS State engineers, operating under un-der direction of Col. Joe Bergin, state aeronautics director, are surveying the Milford Airport preliminary to construction of a new, mile-long, hard - surfaced landing strip. Arriving in Milford on Monday, the engineers went right to work at the port to prepare it for improvements im-provements amounting to $30,000. Ross Rozelle, engineer in charge, isaid the work, which will take approximately ap-proximately 30 days, had "A-l priority pri-ority and the people up in Salt Lake seemed awfully anxious to get it done." Working with Mr. Rozelle are Roy Urie, Hal Christensen, Parley Dalley and Bob Stewart, all with Mie state engineering department stationed at Cedar City. Improvements at the local air-nort air-nort will include moving the boundary fence and the boundary lights, and enlarging their area to include the one-mile long landing strip, which will be surfaced. This will give Milford a top-quality airport capable of handling all ships of the light and medium elnas. |
