Show R All ROAD NEWS By MRS. ROMA CARLTON Phone 169-R Mrs. Bess M. Coon of Compton, Calif., is in Milford visiting at the home of her, son. and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kimmell Coon. Mrs. O. R. Smith returned to Milford Monday, after spending a few days in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Kimmell Coon motored mo-tored to Beaver Monday, where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Clara Griffiths. Mr. Guy Hill of Caliente, Nev., was the house guest this week of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Vincent. Mrs. J. N. Openshaw and daughters daugh-ters Ronda and Florence spent the week-end in Cedar City. They returned re-turned home Sunday. f Mr. and Mrs. Don Hutchings returned re-turned Monday to Milford after spending several days in Salt Lake j City. j ' ! Jimmie Griffiths, son of Mrs. Robert Melton, arrived in Milford Monday on a 10-day furlough. Mrs. Paul Crum went to Salt Lake City Thursday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Edwards of Beaver spent Sunday at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Edwards and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bradshaw. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Edwards motored mo-tored to Salt Lake City Tuesday, where they will spend a few days visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Ruby James entertained the Lady Trainmen at her home on Monday. The evening was spent in playing bridge, with Mrs. Tressia Pitch forth winning point prize, Mrs. Eva Stonehocker, honors, and Mrs. Cleo Labrum, consolation. After the tables were cleared ,a delicious plate lunch was served to Lillian Mellor. Eva Stonehocker, Belle Palmer, Mary Gribble, Edith Cummings. Cleo Labrum, Helen Leech, Tressia Pitch forth, Marva Brown and Rowena Winn. Mrs. June Thompson entertained her pinochle club Wednesday night of last week at the home of Mrs. Marjorie Schramm. At midnight Chinese noodles were served to Mrs. Marjorie Schramm, Mrs. Jane Firmage. Mrs. Pauline Rommel, Mrs. Ruby James. Mrs. Bill ie Stoker. Mrs. Mary Gribble, Mrs. Carol Stewart and Mrs. Lillian Mellor. Mrs. Firmage won the high prize and Billie Stoker was awarded the consolation. |
