Show VI'W AUXILIARY INSTALLS OFFICERS Escalante Auxiliary No. 1546, Veterans of Foreign Wars, held its annual installation of officers on Tuesday, April 9. in the I- O. O. F. hall. A dinner given by the incoming officers for those retiring was served at 7 o'eoek at the Methodist dining room. Thirty-five members attended, and President Margaret Murdock acted as toastmistress. Department President Mary Loudon, Lou-don, Past President Myrtle Aldnch and Lois Waddingham each made a short talk. Six charter members Clara McFadden. Florence Ricker-son, Ricker-son, Magdalena White, Lois Wad dingham, Mary' Parkinson and Theresa Pitchforth were introduced intro-duced and responded with short talks The installation was conducted -by Department President Loudon. The new officers were conducted to their stations by Margaret Grim-shaw Grim-shaw and Color Bearers Maud Mills, Laura Morris, Bermce Stewart and Verda Smith. The work was done with perfect timing and earned the applause of the members. President Murdock was presented present-ed with a Past President's Pin and a lovely gift was received by Department De-partment President Landon. Officers installed were: Dora Smithson, president; Cora Jones, senior vice president; Susan Murdock, Mur-dock, junior vice presdent; Ruth Leany, secretary; Bernice Stewart, treasurer; Nona Walters, chaplain, chap-lain, Margaret Grimshaw, conductress; conduct-ress; Lucille Rains, guard; Carla Waddoups, musician; Oarla Wad-doups, Wad-doups, one-year trustee; Jessie Frazier, two-year trustee; .Vera Smith, three-year trustee; patriotic patri-otic instructor,.. Verda Smith; Jessie Jes-sie Frazier, historian; Maud Mills, Flossie Rickerson, Lina Morris and Lucille Handly, color bearers. The committee chairmen made their reports, which were highly complimented by visiting department depart-ment officers. |
