Show VFW AUXILIARY OFFICERS V ISIT DISTRICT SIX Mrs. Mary London, department president, and Mrs. Morteil Ald-ridge, Ald-ridge, first department president and present deputy secretary, of Ogden, made their official visit to this district c,n April 7, 8 and 9. The ladies arrived in Milford on Sunday, and were house guests of Mrs. Lois Waddingham, who is third department president. The party left April 8, accompanied accompa-nied by Mrs. Ethel Smith, district president, for Cedar City. A supper sup-per was given in their honor at the El Escalante hotel, followed by a meeting at which Mrs. Waddingham Wad-dingham initiated 25 members into the Juniper Auxiliary of that city. The visiting officers made short talks, and the department president presi-dent was then' presented with a pair of nylon hose. A large, decorated dec-orated cake was presented, and the ladies cut it and each member enjoyed en-joyed a slice with a glass of refreshing re-freshing punch. The official party returned to Milford April 9 and went directly to the home of Mrs. Margaret Mur-dock, Mur-dock, president of this auxiliary, and a very lovely three-course luncheon was served. Lighted candles can-dles and lovely garden violets were used in an attractive centerpiece. Guests at the luncheon were Mrs. Dora Smithson, Mrs. Cora Jones. Mrs. Susan Murdock, Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Lois Waddingham Wadding-ham and the two guests of honor, Mrs. London and Mrs. Aldridge. |
