Show MANILA WARD HONORS OLD FOLKS The Manila ward held their ann-i ual Old Folks day entertainment on Wednesday. The usual visiting hour was enjoyed at 11 a. m. followed byj dinner at noon. A special program was rendered in the afternoon including in-cluding the singing, "We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet; prayer, M. S. Christiansen; trio, Beatrice and Maurine Monson and Elda Neves; welcome talk, Bishop L. M. Atwood; one-act play by Loraine Swenson and Lurena Wamick and a talk by H. V. Swenson. At the close of the program a potted pot-ted plant was given to Frank Ball, the oldest man in the ward. The two oldest ladies Sarah Kitchen and Sine Radmall were also awarded potted pot-ted plants. Mrs. C. P. Warnick was presented with a bouquet of carnations carna-tions and single carnations were awarded to other old people of the ward. A quartette was rendered by Ivan and Martin Monson, Grant Atwood At-wood and Ray Pulley. Ice cream and cake was served at the close of the program. A dance was enjoyed in the evening eve-ning by all ward members and guests from other wards of the stake. |
