Show Lions Party Successful Event The party given Thursday evening, eve-ning, February 16th, in Firmage Hall by the wives of the Lions Club members was one of the best ever enjoyed by this club. Mrs. Glen Taylor, wife of President Presi-dent Glen Taylor, was in charge. During the supper a short program was rendered including two numbers num-bers each by a Lions male quartet quar-tet and a Lions Ladies' double quartet, quar-tet, two vocal solos by Rulon Nicholes, three accordian solos by Dr. V. F. Houston, a humorous reading read-ing by Miss Helen Tuttle, and of course, "Hap" Holmstead was on the job with his inexhaustable store of fun and "wise cracks". Following the supper and program, all went upstairs to the dance hall where dancing was indulged in by all. During the dance a happy surprise sur-prise was tendered Mrs. Glen Taylor, Tay-lor, . wife of the present president, and Mrs. Clarence Grant, wife of the past president, when each was presented with a gorgeous basket of carnations, compliments of the Club. |
