Show Junior High Presents Pageant j The teachers and students of the Junior High school are to be congratulated con-gratulated on the rendition of their pageant given at the high school auditorium, on Washington's birthday. birth-day. On the east side of the stage a group of girls, dressed in red, white and blue, formed a human 1 American flag and sang the choruses ' for the pageant. In the center of ' the stage Carol Harris, in a beauti-j beauti-j ful white satin gown, standing in ' front of a beautiful American flag, ' 1 represented America. Her maids in 'yellow gowns were Euvonne Hooley j land Eva Lowder. The readers, who: ! introduced the different characters 'of History as they arrived on the ' scene, were Jenne Hone, Velda West I and Nona Bullock. Each, character j was costumed to represent the prom- ; inent figures in history as follows: . I George Washington, Abraham Lin- 1 coin, Paul Revere, John Hancock, Robert Fulton, Barbara Fretche, ! Letsy Ross, Theodore Roosevelt, Ben-I Ben-I jamin Franklin, Francis Scott Key, ! jwoodrow Wilson and Daniel Web-j ster. The young people were inter- j ! ested in their parts and each in turn j came in for their share of attention. ! The auditorium was packed with j j students of the Junior and Senior ' I High school and patrons. Those in j charge of this splendid program were ' Viola West in charge, Ruth Peterson, costume; Arvilla Clark, dancing; I William Partington, stage, and Fordj M. Poulson, music. |
