Show Any Rags Since the price of paper has increased so materially that it has become a serious problem, there has been a great deal of agitation relative to the saving of old paper and rags that it might be diverted to relieve the shortage in paper in the United States. Papers throuout the country have used considerable space advocating the saving of waste paper and the schools of the cities have started campaigns for the saving of all their old papers and now we notice the government has bulletins posted in the postofiiees asking the people peo-ple to save and divert their paper pa-per and rags to the mills that the shortage may be relieved to some extent. We have had several sev-eral inquiries as to what is to be done with these articles but have never seen advertised a way of disposing of them nor a line to show what they were worth on the market. We have started an investigation, however, and hope soon to be able to let our readers know whether or nut there is any profit to be gained in putting this waste on the market. |
