Show The Stork Stirring The stork flew off its roost last Saturday Morning and visited the homes of Ray Jones, the Studebaker man, and A. C. Sor-enson Sor-enson of the Delta Merc. No sooner had Jones found out that the stork had been there than he jumped onto A. B. Ward's old red rooster and pulled half the feathers out of his tail and stuck them in his hat and tried to make everybody in town believe that he was the only stork around their home. Ed Marshall says he caught Andrew out behind the store with his head down in a barrel helloing "papa", and listening to the echo come back to see how it would sound to hear himself called papa. Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Sorcnson are both doing nicely and meekly allowing their lords to carry away all the honors. |
