Show Pre-historic Finds in Millard County Geitf-ge Bishop of Smithville, one of the towns of the extreme western part of Millard County, accompanied by Mrs. B., was in town the first of the week, having hav-ing come to the road to attend to business matters and get supplies. sup-plies. Mr. Bishop has lived out in the west end for years and has accomulated a nice little fortune for-tune in farming and stock raising. rais-ing. He reports a big potash find in his locality which indicates in-dicates a high percentage of the mineral. Some of the formation being disintegrated so that it can be shoveled up by the seoopfuls. Tests are now being taken of it. He also has some promising mining min-ing prospects near his home. Mr. Bishop says there is abundance of evidence of prehistoric pre-historic habitation m'his immediate immed-iate vicinity. One of the instances instan-ces being an almost buried building which several parties have run onto and which he has again recently tried to locate with the idea of making an examination ex-amination into, but so far, has failed to locate. lie also says there are many evidences of reservoir construction which show that they have undoubtedly undoubted-ly been built by the hands of prehistoric men. |
