Show FOR THANKSGIVING DAY Governor HebcrM. Vcll3 Issues An-ital An-ital Proclamation In Gratitude for Our Bountiful Harvest. Hy the Uovcrnor of tho Stato of Utah: A PROCLAMATION. In conformity with the proclamation of the- President of tho United States, I Hober M. Wells, Governor of the State of .Utah, do hereby designate and appoint ap-point Thuosday, tho 2Gth day of November, No-vember, as u day of public Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing ami prayer. It is peculiarly lilting that at this time the people of Utah should observe with grateful and reverent hearts a custom which lias come down to us hallowed hal-lowed with the traditions and sauctiflcd with tho meaiorics of tho past. The prosperity of our commonwealth during dur-ing the year has becu magnificent. Our harvests have been bountiful, our Hooks and herds havo thriven and multiplied, our mountains have freely yielded up their treasures. Health has abided in our Jiomcs, pcaco has brooded over our community. Tho fires of patriotism, have burned with undimmed brightness, bright-ness, and tho social, educational nnd spiritual uplifting of our people Is as noteworthy as It is exalting. The year has truly been a blessed and a happy one. In recognition of theso manifold mercies mer-cies of tho Giycr of all good, and of Ills untold bounties and kindnesses continually contin-ually showered upon us, let us consecrate conse-crate to ills pralso and worship the day appointed, abstaining as far as practicable from ordinary business or toil, and In our necustomed places of worship or around the family altar, offer our united tribute of thanksgiving for blessings bestowed, with prayers for His continued favor and approbation approba-tion to tho end that peace and happiness happi-ness may abonud unto us forever.
