Under the acts of 1862 and the Government is entitled to 25 per cent, of the net earnings of the roads. The question which the Government seeks to settle is whether the railroads should not have included in-cluded the amount in their statement of net receipts. This being so, the railroad companies com-panies owe the Government on this account about $828,000. , |
