Show To Be Adversely Reported On. Washington, February G. The Senate Committee on Rules at its meeting this morning ordered adverse reports on the resolutions offered by Senator Piatt requiring requir-ing that Executive nominations be considered consid-ered in open session; by Senator Hoar, requiring re-quiring a yea and nay vote to be taken on all motions to adjourn over one day, and by Senator Morgan, providing for a daily recess from 2 to 2:30 p. m. Senator Piatt was before the Committee and made a strong argumant in support of his resolution. The vote on it was as follows: fol-lows: Sherman, Ingalls, Harris, and Blackburn, Black-burn, negative; Frye,- affirmative. The resolution re-solution will be adversely reported by Senator Sena-tor Ingalls. Senator Piatt will ask that it go upon the calendar, but will not seek to obtain consideration for it at once, as he does not wish to have it connected in any way between the executive and,Senate , with which, in fact, it has no necessary relationship. Ultimately he will call it up in open session, and discussed upon its merits. |
