Show ' Notes From Alta.'. -. Alta, December 12th, 18S5. : It has been storming here since last Sunday morning, - although now it looks as if we may have a few days of good weather. We are dreading the next storm, which may last for some time. The snow . has ' been drifting fearfully blowing the snow from the mountains into the gulches. "H. C. Wallace left here yesterday morning during the storm. The New Emma is looking very encouraging, en-couraging, and it is the intention of Foreman Fore-man Stillwell to push the work ahead with all possible speed, several married men who have been working for the New Emma Company for years wishing to eat Christmas dinner with their families, and also dreading the result of the next storm. Therefore, Mr. Still stated to your correspondent, cor-respondent, as soon as the weather is settled set-tled he will secure everything about the mine that is exposed, and close down between be-tween now and Christmas, before another storm.
