Show DHS juniors elect co-class presidents KAYSVILLE Davis High School administrator Richard Stevenson faced a first ever situation situa-tion when the computer count showed Mike Welling and Eric Van Dyke had tied for junior class president presi-dent for 1986-87 school year. "Now what?" said the principal. There was no ruling or precedent because it had never happened before. be-fore. . MR. STEVENSON called the boys in, talked to the parents and proposed several solutions such as, a re vote, one serve half of the year then the other serve the other half, draw straws, flip a coin, or share the title and responsibility. The boys felt they were good enough friends and big enough to share the title and the work. So that's how it is, co-presidents of the Junior Class. How do the kids in the junior class feel?, just great. "It was a tough decision trying to decide . .who to vote for and now we get them both," say many classmates, jw |
