Staum Commander-in-Chief Veterant of Foreign Wart IVFW) Anyone who served overseas over-seas and received an honorable honora-ble discharge and campaign medal can take advantage of dozens of tangible benefits and many others not so tangible tangi-ble and get valuable assistance assist-ance with any service-related problem from the VFW. ikL John S. Staum, Commander-in-Chief of America's oldest major veterans' organization, or-ganization, the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Hard work on behalf of America's 28 million veterans is nothing new to the VFW. Since the turn of the century it's fought with all its heart to strengthen veterans' programs pro-grams and protect national security. It plans to take an even tougher stand on behalf of America's veterans in the future. Members get insurance, travel services, discounts at pharmacies and other stores and the satisfaction of participating par-ticipating in community programs pro-grams that promote patriotism, patriot-ism, enhance well-being and insure the safety of citizens. These can range from sponsoring spon-soring Cub Scout Packs to seminars in the battle against drug abuse. The two million members of America's oldest major veterans' vet-erans' organization can turn to the VFW to protect their rights in Washington.
