Show Pioneer Trails Trek Plans Told at Benefit Barbecue Platte, Casper, and Rock Springs. A program will be enjoyed each evening. Guests attending the barbecue and evenings program were members mem-bers of the chapter of the SUPP from Ogden and two young men from the mission home. A donation was taken, and all proceeds will go to the fund to reconstruct the old Brigham Young home and begin the Mormon Pioneer Pio-neer Village. Horace A. Sorensen made the donation of the barbecue dinner, and was also program chairman and master of ceremonies, and Karl B. Hale, president of the chapter presided. Attending the barbecue sponsored spon-sored by the Sugar House chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers, held at the Rosecrest recreation hall Monday evening, were 200 member's and guests. The barbecue was served family stlye and entertaining program included in-cluded vocal solos by Robert Shepherd, Shep-herd, ReNae Allen TV star in pantomime, pan-tomime, Virginia Tanner, folk dancer in costume; and making a special hit with the crowd were Alice and Joe Hepworth, "That Couple from the Country." Also featured in the musical program pro-gram was Mickey Hart's songs sang ly Earl Morris and accompanied accom-panied by Mickey Hart. Pioneer costurne ball, dancing to the orchestra of Curtis Ackerlind was the feature of late evening. Richard Lambert, president of the national organization, announced an-nounced the annual trek would be a trip to Florence, Neb., to the dedication of the Mormon pioneer memorial bridge. The bridge was constructed on the exact spot of the old pioneer ferry and where the Mormons crossed the Missouri river at Winter Quarters. The group leaving Salt Lake will travel in chartered buses, and Harry Poll will drive his. sound truck to be used at programs during dur-ing the trek and the ceremonies at the dedication.
