Show SOUTH MUSIC STARTS TO IIOM By BON'N'IE SANDERS Things are beginning to hum in South high's music department again this year. The well known a'cappella choir, under direction of Armount Wil-lardsen, Wil-lardsen, is working harder than ever to prepare for the coming programs. The choir will make its first appearance on November 16 at Whittier ward. A group of capable, music-minded officers were elected to lead 'the a'cappella this year. Duane Bishop is president; Roger Schow, vice president; Pat Goalen, Rae McClellan and Carolyn Carr, secretaries; sec-retaries; Kathy Samuelson, historian, histo-rian, and Gary Sheffield, business manager. Also chosen in the elections were the section leaders, one member of each section who had charge of the success of his section. These sections leaders are Janer Enger, Shirley Hiatt, Claudia Harris, Ruth Fossey, Clarence Mason, Don Jackson, Jack-son, Henry Taggart and Gary Sheffield. Each Monday morning the officers offi-cers of the choir meet with Mr. Willardsen to settle problems and make plans. The choir's annual performance at Christmas at the LDS Southeast tabernacle is one of the outstanding outstand-ing highlights of the year. |
