Show L L. Halversen Named KO'B Manager For Sugar House Sfore ---A r pi. L. L. HALVERSEN , L. L. Halversen this week was announced as the manager of the Keith O'Brien store in Sugar House by W. P. Dunn, KO'B president. He also was elevated to a vice presidency of the KO'B concern. The Sugar House store will open in the near future and Mr. Halversen Hal-versen will have direct charge of its operations. The new manager has served as company secretary and divisional merchandising manager for Keith O'Brien in its Salt Lake store. Mr. Halversen' is a native of Logan, Utah, and is a graduate of the Utah State Agricultural college, school of business, and also of the International Accounting Society, Chicago, Illinois. He has been in retail merchandising field for 22 years. He began at KO'B in 1936 as controller. Mr. Halversen is past president and present member of the Salt Lake Chapter of the National Na-tional Office Management association, associa-tion, and past director of the Pacific Pa-cific Coast Controllers Group. He is a member of the Salt Lake City Retail Controller Association, Lions club, and Fort Douglas Golf club. With his wife Nisha and four sons he resides at 1204 Eighteenth East street. Along with the elevation of Mr. Halversen, Mr. Dunn, KO'B president, presi-dent, announced the board of directors di-rectors also promoted William E. Rinched to a vice presidency, and Daved J. Ellison was made executive execu-tive vice president. Mr. Rinshed will remain head of the company's ready-to-wear and as merchandise manager and buyer; Mr. Ellison, since 1942 a vice president, will continue as general merchandising manager. Mr. Rinshed was born in Florence, Flor-ence, Colorado, and received his education in the public schools, business school, and general merchandising mer-chandising school. He served in World War I. Mr. Rinshed began with KO'B as stock clerk, and advanced as men's furnishing sales man, assistant manager and then manager and buyer of the ready-to-wear- department. depart-ment. He then resigned to move to California. There he was associated associ-ated with Buff urns', Long Beach; City of Paris, San Francisco; and James Oviatt Company, Los Angeles. He was also affiliated with Frederick and Nelson in Seattle. Mr. Rinshed returned to Keith O'Brien in 1941 as ready-to- wear merchandise manager and buyer. He is a thirty-second degree Scottish Scot-tish Rite Mason and an ElKalah Shriner. With his wife Delma, he resides at 327 Westminster avenue. They have a son, Donald M.,' serving serv-ing in the United States air force. Mr. Elliso was born in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, and was graduated gradu-ated from the University of Utah in 19332. In that year he entered the retail merchandising business in New York City. He affiliated with KO'B in January, 1938, as divisional merchandising manager. Mr. Ellison is a member of the Salt Lake Kiwanis club. Salt Lake Country club, and Sigma Chi fraternity. fra-ternity. He resides at 1006 Third avenue with Mrs. Ellison, |
