Show GRANITE ARTS PRESENT TALENT Again the Granite Arts program drew a full house on November 4 at Granite high school auditorium, audito-rium, when the Platoff Don Cossack chorus and dancers gave an entertaining enter-taining performance. Their program consisted of religious, re-ligious, humorous and serious numbers num-bers with native dances. The membership of the Platoff chorus and dancers is comprised of the best vocal talent and danc-res danc-res obtainable among the White Russian emigrees who fought communism com-munism in Russia. However, all members of the organization are now American citizens. This organization has scheduled and appeared in approximately 1700 concerts in the United States. New Office Equipment The newest development in modern mod-ern office equipment is a machine which takes dictation by telephone, permits the user to "play back" to hear what he had said earlier m his dictation, and allows for correction of material previously dictated. It's an invention of the company which originated telephone pay stations. Acrobats Many a startled adult will agree that the acrobat or "stunt man" has nothing on the four-year-old when he starts climbing, jumping, and standing on his head. The Parents' Consultation Service urges parents not to discourage these important im-portant muscle co-ordinating activities activi-ties on the part of the pre-sehoo!-age child because of a feeling that he may be "showing off." |
