Show seeoT cooesE C0F1CLU0ES LADIES' EUEEJT University of Scouting concluded conclud-ed its 1952 course of leader instruction instruc-tion with Ladies' night October 2 at South High school. The event was under the direction of Rulon Doman, scout executive for the Great Salt Lake area council. Each lady was presented with a gardenia corsage as a token of appreciation ap-preciation for being a 'scouter's widow'. Dr. Philo T. Farnsworth was featured fea-tured speaker on the program, emphasizing parents responsibility to scouting. Community singing was lead by Jack Kent, after which a county fair theme program prevailed. Explorer posts, scout troops and cub packs displayed their arts, crafts and skill. A midway of skill games added to the county fair atmosphere, nans nasiiiuMeii ui the Scout Executive staff was general gen-eral chairman of the affair with Emmett L. Morris, Chief Comrade of District Scout Commissioners as vice-chairman. The scout executive committee pronounced the evening a huge success and a fitting climax to three weeks of intensive training. |
