Show GLADE LEADS TRUMAN WELCOME TUES. Mayor Earl J. Glade, Democratic candidate for Utah governor, will head a delegation of local folk who will greet President Harry S. Truman Tru-man in Salt Lake Tuesday. Mayor Glade will greet the president pres-ident along with other Democratic powers as he makes a whistle stop talk from the platform of his special train in the Denver & Rio Grande Western Pacific depot at 7:40 a.m. Mr. Truman's major address in Utah will be at Brigham Young University in Provo at 9:55 a.m. Among those who will join Mayor Clade in presenting the president are: Calvin W. Rawlings and Mrs. Roxey Romney, national committee commit-tee members; Milton L. Weilen-mann, Weilen-mann, state chairman; Mrs. George S. Ballif, state vice chairman; Rep. Waller K. Granger, Senate candidate; candi-date; Rep. Reva Beck Bosone and Ernest R. McKay, congressional candidates; Secy, of State Heber Bennion Jr.; Gordon Wegeland, state Democratic treasurer and G. Hal -Taylor, state secretary; Jack Orton, Young Democratic chairman; chair-man; Lucy Redd, national commit-teewoman commit-teewoman of the Young Democrats; Demo-crats; Mrs. Burton I. Musser, past i national committeewoman; Grant Macfarlane, past state chairman; Stewart Grow, Dr. Richard Poll and Edwin Butterworth, representing repre-senting BYU. |
