Show SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS EF!D CO'ICLAVE The Utah-Nevada conference of Seventh-Day Adventists adjourned Sunday evening after three days of intensive concentrated religious instruction by church leaders from California and Washington D. C. Scene of the. evangelistic and missionary-type services was the Central church, 1840 South 8th East, of which Reverend Frank A. Purcell is pastor. The conference was opened Friday Fri-day by O. L. Bonn with atlak on the "Church in Missionary Mission-ary Service." Professor L. M. Stump of the Lodi academy, Lodi Cal., lead out in a Sabbath school study session. W. E. Nelson, Washington, D. C, preached the morning sermon. Later in the afternoon, Prof. Stump addressed the young people with "Adventures That Challenge." Chal-lenge." Sunday morning's Bible study class under direction of Mr. Nelson Nel-son featured a practical everyday application of religion, and was followed by similar talks by C. L. Bauer and Prof. Stump. A. D. Bowen expressed the conference con-ference missionary theme with his sermon, "God's Mien of the Hour." Sidney Allen, Provo pastor, supervised children's activities, ' organizing story hours on Bible subjects, as well as other meet-i meet-i ings geared to a child's understanding. |
