This goup has been mighty active in the FUNda program. p & o op. 0 0. -:-( ft ) ,1 : fe K RELIEF SOCIETY TO SERVE FUNDA FEAST The Relief Society of Wilford stake is prepared to serve 2,000 meals at the stake farm FUNda next Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs. Grace E, Berndt, stake president, said "we have asked each ward Relief Society to provide pro-vide enough food to serve 250 people. We expect to serve 1,000 meals each night. Valley View, Valley Secon, Wilford and Grand-view Grand-view wards will prepare the dinner din-ner on July 23, while Cummings, Imperial, Imperial West and Kenwood Ken-wood wards will serve on July 24. We urge all those attending to bring their own silverware." The Relief Society will be in charge of a gift booth, with aprons, children's clothing, embroidered pillow cases, dish towels and the like on sale. Mary Steele, stake work director, is chairman of the committee working on the booth. Wednesday, from 5:30 to 7:30 p. m. a dinner of baked ham, po-tatos po-tatos au gratin, string beans, cole slaw, will be served. Thursday the menu will include meat loaf, creamed potatos, new peas, cottage cheese andApineapple salad. Rolls and butter, a choice of cake or pie will be available both nights. The meal hour will be extended Thursday until 8 p. m. Tables will be set up both inside the school 1 building and. put in ,the open. Each ward was assigned a quota of 25 articles to donate to the gift booth. It is expected that sale of the items will add between $350 and $400 to the welfare fund. Assisting Mrs. Berndt in planning plan-ning the dinner and gift sale are her two counselors, Beoma H. Hor-man Hor-man and Lois R. Gundersen, secretary secre-tary Margaret Jensen, and the stake board members, Mary Roberts, Rob-erts, Martha Paulsen, Printha Stewart, Alice Tatte, Audrey Peterson, Pe-terson, Catherine Aposhian, lone Moss and Mrs. Steele. |
