Show BEST WARD TEACHERS IN LDS CHURCH UNDER A. B. KESLER r 7? . . The Wilford Stake ward teachers, teach-ers, under the supervision of Senior High Councilman A. B. Kesler, maintain an average re. peat, average visiting record of 97 ViVc of all 1800 church families fami-lies in the stake each month. This is the best ward teaching record in the entire LDS church. In a recent meeting, Apostle Re-Grande Re-Grande Richards commented, "Mr. Kesler is the best ward teaching supervisor in the church." Mr. Kesler states, "our success in ward teaching is due to the fine leadership in the stake, and to plain hard work." Ward teachers are drawn from the cream of the stake membership. member-ship. Most of them hold other responsible re-sponsible positions in the church. The stake presidency and the high council members are all ward teachers. They exert a psycological influence in-fluence upon other teachers in that they manage to get their ward teaching done each and everv month in snite of the nrp.s- A. B. Each of the eight wards in the stake has three yvard teaching supervisors. Mr. Kesler and his committee call each of the 24 supervisors each month to see if all the families have been visited. "And if the wards get slack once in a while and don't get all their visiting done," says Mr. Kesler, "the committee shames them into getting it done by going out and doing it themselves. The next month, you can be sure the regular regu-lar teachers visit all the families in their district." Hereafter, in some cases of part-member families, the stake missionaries will combine a missionary mis-sionary visit with a ward teaching teach-ing visit. In these instances, Mr. Kesler's committee will check with the stake missionaries to make sure those families receive a ward teacher visit each month. |
