Show HONOR COURT AWARDS TOP SCOUTS A court of honor ended the 1953 award anfivitips for fivp Rnv Srrmt troops in the Mill Creek district with troop 470 taking a good share of the honors. Four eagle awards, bringing the total in this division to 15 for the 1953 year, were awarded in the troop. Nine boys got their eagle ratings at a February court, and two more, including a 12-year-old boy, were awarded the rank in August. Other awards received by the troop were eight palms, six lift, three staT, eight first class, two second class, and 104 merit badges.. A guest explorer group, No. 670, was invited to the court and was awarded eight gold awards, 12 apprentice, ap-prentice, and eight explorer ratings. Farron, Hill, received the "Deser-et" "Deser-et" recognition award from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints. Veldon Jones, district chairman, presided at the final court, assisted by Arnold Wright, scoutmaster. |
