Show SUGAR HOUSE LOSES LT. R. S. CAHOOn Among four Salt Lake City police po-lice officers who have been given new assignments is Sugar House Lt. R. S. Cahoon, Lt. Stanley D. Butcher, Lt. G. M. Hopkins and Lt. Clayton Blank. In making the announcement Police Chief F. Clark Sanford said it is "a routine rotation of duties for training." The changes will see Lt. Cahoon shift from the Sugar House department's de-partment's substation to the traffic department. Lt. Cahoon has worked in every detail of the police department at one time heading the detective bureau, and the youth bureau which he found interesting. The detail with the youth bureau put him in good stead in the Sugar House department, where he oversees over-sees the Cottonwood Dairy Sugar House Cops baseball team . . . with every player his personal friend. Street traffic in Sugar House received much of the lieutenant's attention and study. In the department's traffic detail de-tail Lt. Cahoon will not find his job new, for he served in that capacity ca-pacity prior to coming to the Sugar House station. Lt. Hopkin will take over the Sugar House substation. He was formerly in the radio patrol division. divi-sion. The new duties of the officers began Monday. |
