Show spond. A graduate of Granite High School, the popular missionary ivill enter the mission home on Oct. 7, and will leave for Canada Can-ada approximately ten days therafter. Program set For Missionary An excellent program has been arranged at the Rosecrest Ward (20th E. & 29th So.) for the farewell testimonial honoring hon-oring Maynard Sorensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace A. Sorensen, Soren-sen, who is soon to leave on an LDS mission to Eastern Canada. Can-ada. Mr. Sorensen returned home last June, after serving two years with the U.. S. Navy. For the last year ad a half in the service he was stationed .at Guam and in the Philippines. The testimonial program has been arranged for Thursday Oct. 3, at 8 p.m. Shirley Cotrell will present an organ prelude and Sanford Huff will play a trumpet solo. A male quartet, composed of Ralph Lee, David Cook, Glen Johnson, Val Garff and accompanied by Melba Clark will favor the audience with two selections. Mrs. Grace Nixon Stewart will offer a read-inging; read-inging; followed by an organ selection by Seldon Heaps. Ernest Ern-est C. Clayton will be the featured fea-tured speaker of the evening, after which June Glade Moss will play a violin solo, accompanied accom-panied by Claire Raker.
