Thursday evening, Sept. 19, the regular monthly meeting of ihe board of directors of the Holladay Lions club was held at the home of President Arch Aldous. Two major items were discussed during the meeting. One of these was the indifferent indiffer-ent attitude taken by a small minority in regards to attendance. attend-ance. After much discussion by the various members of the board, a decision was reached to the effect that members that did not or would not attend meetings would be contacted to find out what they planned to do in regards to their membership. member-ship. The other, was a discussion on the annual Fall Festival, and Lion Norm Berndt was appointed ap-pointed chairman of the committee com-mittee for this event. He selected se-lected his own committee members. mem-bers. A more complete discussion discus-sion will be held at the regular business meeting scheduled for tonight. Let's all get behind Norm in this project and make it the most successful that we have ever put on. Also at the board meeting, a discussion was held on the advisability ad-visability of having the annual club Christmas party. Although no motion was made, the opinion opin-ion of the board was to abandon this annual event. Lion Roy Hobbs, chairman of the attendance committee was in attendance and gave a report on his committee and asked for additional help to replace members mem-bers that did no have the time to serve on that all-important committee. The board granted Roy's request and ask-d ask-d that he select his own new committee members. Lion Roy also gave a report on the progress of the minstrel show to be held in the early part of 1917. Roy and his committee com-mittee have been very active on this project. The script has been completed, the music arranged for and a few members have agreed to wor k on this project, but Roy reports that he needs more help. If you are interested and willing to work in this show, please contact Roy or Mrs. Hobbs, who is handling the music, or Mrs. Nate Wagstaff who will direct the drama portion por-tion of the show.
