Show big doings Included Harry Fer-nelius Fer-nelius who presided. Dick Gill who made the presentations. Jack Clark. Ed Abbott and Tyler Ty-ler Evans. Horace A. Sorensen, president of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce, and Sam Leaver, president of Sugar House Rotary, Ro-tary, paid tribute to the contributions con-tributions Mr. Crockwell had made to this area- The chamber presented the retiring re-tiring chief with a fountain pen and pencil set, and the postal folks gave him a beautiful Masonic Ma-sonic ring, and to Mr. White a handsome leather wallet. Music during the evening was given by Miss Conna Carlyle, accord-ianist, accord-ianist, and at the end of the program pro-gram some pictures were shown. The committee in charge of the Postal Workers Honor Crockwell There wasn't a dull moment from beginning to ena last Friday Fri-day evening when mure than 100 fellow employes and friends gathered at Weasku Inn for a party honoring C. A. Crockwell, well-known Sugar House booster boost-er and superintendent of the branch post office here. Mr. Crockwell retires at the end of this year after 43 years of government gov-ernment service. Also honored was Mahonri M. White who retired re-tired early this month Staff Sgt. Fielding K. (Smat) Smith, well-known local humorist humor-ist and raconteur kept the crowd roaring throughout the evening following the dinner in, his role as toastmaster while the speakers speak-ers of the evening, M. O. Ashton, long-time business leader here and friend of Mr. Crockwell |
