Show Lions Club Drive Assures Public Rest Rooms for S. H. Thp I.ions plan on a series of entertainments and sports events of strictly "big league" calibre to raise more funds lu complete the project. Once completed, com-pleted, it will be turned over to the city for supervision and maintenance. One of the most needed public GonxvEiences - in . the- Sugar House area is soon to be realized realiz-ed due to the efforts of the Sugar House Lions club, it appeared ap-peared this week. The club some time ago started a drive for the construction of public restrooms j in the center of the shopping I area and with a considerable I fund already raised and the pledge of cooperation from the city and . from Sugar House merchants, the Droject is moving forward. Line Hansen, chairman of the Lions' civic improvement committee com-mittee wjio has sparked the drive, announced Tuesday that the city has approved the project proj-ect and architect's plans will be drawn up at once It is planned to locate the rest rooms under ground just south of the Southeast theater, and at the north end of the library grounds. Entrances will be right near the sidewalks. This location loca-tion is almost in the very center of the business area and the project will be a much-needed convenience for the ever-in-J creasing number 'of Sugar House shoppers. |
