Show HAWTHORNE HAPPENINGS By Lyle Hampshire Monday, June 25th, the entire en-tire Hawthorne Ward MIA enjoyed en-joyed a swimming party at the YWCA under the direction of the activity counselors, Dick Sisam and Beth Murdock. After Aft-er an invigorating swim, the group met for hot dogs and pop on the spacious lawn of Wally Burt, 'Counselor to the bishop. On Tuesday the Junior Gleaners Glean-ers had a real affair to honor the girls who have become "Sit ver Gleaners" Mary Lou Kar-ren Kar-ren and Gloria Warner. A progressive dinner had been planned. The first course was enjoyed at the home of Marva Goring, YLMIA president, with ' Nola Thomas and Gwen Poulsen Poul-sen as co-hostesses. The second course was served at Lorraine Murdock's home. The hostess, Louise Powers, was ably assisted assist-ed by Betty Jensen and Lorraine Lor-raine Murdock. Members of the waird are planning other activities for next week. |
