Show Burglars Carry Off Safe From Beau Brummel Cafe Burglars early Thursday morning made away with the safe at the Beau Brummel Cafe and with it probably $2000 in currency and checks. The theft of the safe was discovered dis-covered at 3:30 a.m. Thursday by Kenneth Olsen, night custodian, custo-dian, who had been painting in the coffee shop in the opposite side of the building. A. Allen Coombs, owner, expressed ex-pressed the opinion that the culprits cul-prits may have hidden in the cafe during business hours and committed the theft after closing clos-ing hours. The operations for the day ceased at one o'clock Thursday morning. The safe weighed an estimated esti-mated 300 pounds and was moved out probably by the back screen door which had been smashed down by the burglars, either when they entered or left the cafe. T. A.
