I hope this is a happy day for you all. And here's a little secret. If you want to be really happy, how about remembering someone that might not be remembered re-membered at all by anybody "lse? Or call up a long forgotten forgot-ten friend and wish him well. Or tell the grocer who has tried so hard to please you all these trying months that you think he's pretty swell. Bardole 820 Lincoln St. Another attractive southeast-erner southeast-erner has had her engagement and approaching marriage announced an-nounced by her mother. The happy girl is Faye Garfield and the benedict will be John I. Boyce. Faye is the daughter of Mrs. Ada C. Garfield, 1434 Ra-mona Ra-mona Ave. John is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira J. Boyce, 172 Canyon Can-yon Road. They'll be married April 18 in the LDS temple. An important wedding event recently took place when Leonard Leon-ard Ray Jones, son of Mrs. John B. Jones, 1036 Thirteenth East, married Veda Whitehead, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Rennie A. Whitehead, 288 I St. They were married by Pres. David O. McKay Mc-Kay in the Salt Lake temple and then there was a big reception at the Lion House. Nineteen hundred and one Berkeley St. was the scene of the marriage of Clare Isgren and Virgil A. Dinitond. The ceremony cere-mony was solemnized, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Sidney Isgren. Kenneth P. Borg performed the double -ring ceremony by candlelight. candle-light. Then dinner was served to the members of both families, the bridal party and a few close friends. Clare wore winter-white crepe and a gold sequin tiara and looked very, very striking, if we do say so. Her only attendant at-tendant was Mrs. E. J. Connell who wore fuchsia. Best man was L. Earl Peacock. O such a happy household . . . and we mean that of Ken Thomson Thom-son and is wife. There's a new boy for them and they'll take him home to 1920 Hollywood Ave. Speaking of Hollywood Ave., reminds us that we received a letter from Betty Waugh (Mrs. R. P. Sellman now) who used to live on upper Hollywood. She's in Piedmont, Calif., now making a home for her husband and little Betsy. She said for us to tell all of her friends hello and that means you! Back to babies . . . George and Jeanne Harass Bridwell are more than proud to announce that they have a dark-haired cherub to care for now. She was born Monday in the Holy Cross hospital but they still haven't decided on a name yet. They have a brand new apartment apart-ment at 13:56 Colonial Drive in the basement of his parents' home. Bridwell Brid-well of that address. Jeanne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar C. Karass, i965 E. 3375 So. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn H. Thompson, Thomp-son, 3008 Connor St., have taken leave of their home for a few weeks. They're seeking the sunnier sun-nier side of California and Nevada. Ne-vada. The Thompsons are planning plan-ning on giving whole hearted approval to a little grandchild they've never seen yet, too. The Sorensons of Sugar House have been hitting the trail to and from California of late. Right now Gordon and Elaine are combining -'business with pleasure in the coastal state. Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Sorensen have just returned. Carol Cornwall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Spencer Cornwall, 124i Parkway Ave., has been named the winner of the Daughters Daugh-ters of American Revolution "good citizenship" contest at East High school.
