Show COURIER Sugar House, Utah Thursday, July 17, 1958 Page 9 The William L. Hutchinson family of 2630 Venus Circle are enjoying a six-week- s' stay in Hawaii. During this time Mr. Hutchinson Is teaching the Civil Air Patrol at the U.S. Aviation Base in Honolulu. Mr. Hutchinson, his wife Venida, and their two daughters, Sheryl, 10 and Julie, 6, left for Hawaii on June 11 and expect to return home on the 21 or 22 of July. The Holladay Seventh Ward of the new Olympus Stake is nearing completion of its beaut-iful new chapel. One of the outstanding features of the chapel is the pine organ. The members' of the Seventh Ward expect to be in the building by the first of August Sharon and Linda Heaps from Wisconsin have been visiting with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Van Selus at 2784 Morningside Drive for the past month. Sharon, 14 and Linda, 10, enjoyed Utah's beaut-- OLYMPUS NEWS by Carol Jean Christensen Deanne Stewart Zarboch of 4030 Morningstar Dr. has been a participant in the summer music festival at the University of Utah. She served as a member of the chorus in both Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Carousel", which played last week, and Richard Strauss' "Der Rosenka-valier- ", which is playing at the stadium Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of this week. Mrs. Zar-boch has served in many cap-acities in connection with Uni-versity activities, appearing as soloist for the music department during the time she attended the University and also for "At Home" programs as guest soloist in recent years. Mrs. Zarboch's beautiful sopra-no voice has thrilled many people throughout the inter-mounta-in area and on the west coast, during tours to the No. and Southwest areas with the Swanee Singers and Scandia Male Chorus. iful mountains and scenery but were anxious to get back to Wisconsin's cooler climate. Her guests played badminton, croquet, and volley ball and then were serv-ed barbecued hambergers, sal-ad, and all the trimmings. Those attending were Jeffrey Mix, Bill Hoge, Craig Mackay, Marvin Adamson, John Boyle, Sondra Sandburg, Joan Stap-le- y, Marsha McHenry, Mary Soter, Darlene Taylor, Pat Shreeve and Diane Roberts. Mr. Ver Non Blackham of 2861 Delsa Drive is in Oregon attending the Oregon State College on a scholorship. He was accompanied by his family. The Blackham's expect to re-turn near the end of August at the completion of Mr. Black-ham'- s schooling. He is a teacher at Olympus High School. Under the direction of the County Recreation Department Miss Barbara Alvey is teaching a class in tennis at the Holla-da- y Park tennis courts. Those participating in the program are: Dave Childs, Dave Prit-char- d, Greg Stowe, Gary Gear-hear-t, Jane Barber, Sharon Andersen, Carol Christensen, Lynn Timpson, Karen Beyeler, and Christy Sage. The teams have played at Midvale, Mur-ray Copperton, Granite, and Liberty Park. The M.I.A. girls from. Holla-da- y and Olympus Stakes are scheduled to camp at the Spruces from August 3 to 9. The Beehive Girls will stay three days and the Mia Maids will stay three days. On that day doctors removed the cast from his left arm enabling him to graduate from a wheel-fere- d a broken arm and leg in chair to crutches. Randy suf-a- n auto-pedestria- n accident six weeks ago. Randy's mother states that he is feeling fine and that in another three weeks his leg will probably be mended suf-ficiently to remove the cast. Hats off to Rulon W. Steph-ense- n of 3118 W. 3835 S. During the past two week3 while 3835 S. St. has been torn up for sewer installation, Rulon, who is employed as a mail carrier, 'has personally deliver-ed mail on foot to all residents on the street. His thoughtful action has spared his neigh-bors many a trip to the Post Office to pick up mail. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Wolf, 149 W. 33rd S., are enjoying having their daughter Sharon (Mrs. Clair Steck) with them again for a short time. Mrs. Steck is spending two weeks in Granger while her husband 13 in Yakima, Washington, for reserve training. The young couple will be re-united July 19. Darrell and Werren Roper, 2200 W. 3500 S., vacationed re-cently in Yellowstone Park. While there they met the Sam-uel Dial family, also of Grang-er, and the group enjoyed camp-ing and visiting together for several days. Aaron and Lee Kennard, sons of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Kennard, 2470 W. 3500 S., and Harvy Kennard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lon H. Kennard, 2965 W. 3S35 S., left early this week for Randolph, Utah, where they will work during the hay-ing season. The Nathan A. Barney's, 3677 S. 3CO0 W., became parents of a new baby daughter July 3rd. The little girl, who weigh-ed in at Gibs. 10 ozs. at St Marks Hospital was welcomed at home by two brothers and three sisters ranging in age from 9 to 2. Mr. and Mrs.v Harold E. Smuin, 3925 S. 3200 W., are thrilled with the arrival of their new son born July 6. Welcoming their new brother Douglas' W. were Harold Paul and JoLynn. Dorene Linton and her three children, Kayleen, Wendy, and Elake, 2S16 W. 4100 S., spent July 3rd to July 6th visiting in rinodale, Wyo. They were acc-ompanied by Hal Egbert of Tooele, who is Mrs. Linton's fiance. When they returned they brought with them Mrs. Maggie Johnson to spend the summer with Mrs. Linton's mother, Mrs. Elva Smith.
