Show Canyon Rim By Linda Bird The Brighton Girls Lodge was the setting for the annual vacation for girls from 12 to 14 in Canyon Rim. They spent the week of July 7 in the Lodge. They learned many things and are looking forward to next year's stay in Brighton. The Explorers of the Rose-crest Rose-crest Ward are enjoying their annual summer outing in the high Uintah mountains. They are in the Four Lake Basin, nearly 12 miles from Mirror Lake. The food was packed in by horses The boy's individual items, such as sleeping bags and clothing are carried on the hike by the boys themselves. They are hoping that the Air National Guard will be able to air drop some canned g-oods by parachute. Much of the expense of the trip was earned by the explorers through various selling campaigns .in the ward. The Highland View Ward held a talent review on Monday, July 14. The program was very entertaining and showed a lot of hard work and practice. prac-tice. Dr. and Mrs. Reid Durtschi are the proud parents of a baby girl born Monday, July 7. Bishop Hilding M. Marlowe and his family of the Highland View Ward have recently returned re-turned from a two week vacation vaca-tion through the Northwest. July 21 is the date that Ronald Ron-ald Schuman, 2708 S. 2300 E., has circled for his wedding to Miss Lorelei Larsen. The wedding wed-ding will be performed at the Reception Center with a reception re-ception following the ceremony. Jay T. Stringham, 2762 Yuma Circle, will have a double holiday holi-day on July 12 as he celebrates his birthday and 12th wedding anniversary. |
