Show Kindergarten Sets Classes A private non-profit organization is providing full-time kindergarten classes for more tnan three dozen tots is the southeast area for the third consecutive year. Utah Supplementary Education is the organization, and Mr. Joy F. Dunyon, prominent East Mill Creek educator, is its director. Aim of the program, said Mr. Dunyon, is to help provide a full school year of kindergarten class-work class-work for children who would get only a six-week session otherwise. 1 Because of crowded buildings, Granite School District operates the summer session of only six ( weeks for kindergarten children. I USZ is operating in two locations loca-tions East Mill Creek and also (the Winder Ward on Highland j Drive. Billie Dean Hansen and jGeraldine Simmons teach the clas-jses clas-jses of about 23 children each. Classes are in session from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each school day during the year. Course of study is the same as that used in Salt Lake City kindergarten classes. "We want USE to be as professional profes-sional as possible," said Mr. Dunyon, Dun-yon, "so we have qualified to become be-come cembers of the National Kindergarten Association, and the Association for Childhood Education." Educa-tion." Attendance at USE classes gives students a full year of classroom experience before their enrollment in the first grade.
