Show Veterans' Day Was Observed A Veterans' Day program was conducted at 1 o'clock on Thursday, Noiv. llih at the My-ton My-ton Elementary School, under the direction of the American Legion, Wm. R. Sands Post No. 5. A large crowd assembled to honor the veterans of past wars, both those who who paid the supreme sacrifice and those who returned to carry on for their fallen Comrades. Milton Nielson. principal of the Myton school, briefly addressed add-ressed the audience and turned the meeting to Lynn Dean, eolmirnander of Post No. 5, who conducted the foUowing program: pro-gram: Prayer was offered by Chaplain Milton V. Lott, followed fol-lowed by "America," by the audience, led by Mrs. H. C. Cooper, accompanied by Mrs. O. A. Dart; mayor W. H. Linck gave an impressive address; a vocal solo, by Mrs. H. C. Cooper; Coop-er; reading, "Flanders Field" and "Reply to Flanders Field" by Mrs. Howard Roberts; address add-ress by Calvin J. Monks, commander com-mander of District No. 9; vocal solo, by Mrs. Lynn Dean. |
